Apple’s first retail union fashioned in Towson, Maryland, received a historic victory towards Apple because of negotiations carried out by IAM CORE.
Two years after Apple Towson unionized with IAM CORE representing 85 workers, the union has achieved a major settlement with Apple. Staff can count on higher pay, administration transparency, and enhancements to scheduling along with all earlier advantages.
“The historic agreement secured by the courageous IAM CORE members at the Towson Apple store sets a new standard for Apple retail workers nationwide, proving the undeniable power of collective bargaining,” stated IAM Worldwide President Brian Bryant. “The IAM has proven once again that we have the strength to take on some of the biggest companies in the world and win.”
The IAM CORE, which represents the union, maintains the power to barter for added advantages. The preliminary proposal from the union included suggestions, figuring out they’d need to again off some requests.
